GENERAL MANAGER

Brody House · Budapest

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the overall performance, management and development of our independent boutique hospitality business.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for commercial performance, P&L, operational standards, management development and guest experience across accommodation, F&B, events and the wider venue.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the business through the senior management team and create clear accountability across departments

  • Own overall P&L performance, annual budgeting and forecasting

  • Set priorities, targets and KPIs and ensure managers follow through

  • Drive sustainable revenue and profitability across accommodation, F&B, events and other revenue streams

  • Review occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, average spend, labour and departmental costs

  • Lead Accommodation, Restaurant, Kitchen, Bar, Events, Facilities and Finance as one coordinated business

  • Develop the capability and performance of the senior management team

  • Maintain strong operational, service and guest-experience standards

  • Identify commercial opportunities, partnerships and improvements within the Brody House brand direction

  • Ensure appropriate systems, controls, policies and compliance standards are maintained

  • Manage business risks, major operational issues and improvement projects

  • Provide clear, decision-focused reporting to the owners

ABOUT YOU

You have senior general-management experience in an independent, boutique, lifestyle or comparable hospitality business.

You understand both hotel and F&B operations and are confident with P&L, budgeting, forecasting, revenue management and departmental cost drivers.

You are a strong people leader who can work with senior managers, owners and different personalities while maintaining a high degree of day-to-day autonomy.

You are practical, resilient and commercially minded, but you also understand the importance of atmosphere, quality and individual hospitality.

Fluent English is essential. Additional languages are an advantage.

A genuine appreciation for art, design, culture and independent hospitality is very much at home here.
