‘This Kind of Cooking’ - Book Release, Tasting Workshop and Celebration with Kristóf & Nimi

Somewhere on Greece’s Methana Peninsula, there is a 150-year-old stone house overlooking the sea. It is a home, a retreat, a gathering place — and the setting for a way of life built around food, friendship, creativity and community.

Now, a little piece of that world is coming to Brody House.

Join Kristóf & Nimi for an intimate evening inspired by their Methana retreat, bringing together their self-produced film What We Are All About, communal cooking, conversation, books and music.

At the centre of the evening is a special screening of What We Are All About, offering an intimate glimpse into the life they have created on the peninsula — a story about belonging, chosen family, freedom and the courage to build a life around the things that matter to you.
But this is not quite a sit-back-and-watch kind of evening.

The screening will be accompanied by a unique cooking workshop and conversation around the table: a chance to experience a small taste of the Methana retreat through food, stories and shared preparation.

The programme continues with the launch of Kristóf & Nimi’s new book, with both Hungarian and English editions available for purchase and signing, followed by an evening party at Brody House.

THE WORKSHOP

Kristóf & Nimi will take over the counter for a live Vegan Gyros & Tahini-Tzatziki Workshop, with a few volunteers from the audience joining them along the way.

They'll share secrets from their Greek kitchen and show you how to make a truly satisfying plant-based gyros with creamy homemade tzatziki, based on tahini.

Come hungry, and if you're brave, ready to get your hands deliciously messy.

The programme will take place in both English and Hungarian.
