BOOKING YOUR STAY
What do I need to secure my booking? Bookings can be made directly on our website or over email: reception@brody.house / + 36 1323 7583. A credit card is needed to secure the booking as we charge the amount of the first night as a nonrefundable deposit to secure the booking.
AMEX: We do not accept payments with AMEX cards but do accept VISA or Mastercard.
How do I know my booking has gone through? After booking you will receive a booking confirmation by email from our team that provides you with more information about BrodyLand.
How can I receive a receipt? As soon as the deposit has been charged we will send you a copy of the official invoice. We also provide you with the card-slip and final invoice at check-out once the final bill is settled.
CANCELLATIONS OR BOOKING CHANGES
First Night Charge: For every confirmed Brody House room booking, we charge a non-refundable deposit equal to the price of the first night of the stay excluding the 4% tourist tax. In the event of you moving rooms during your stay with us, only one deposit is charged for the first room. If you book two rooms for the same period, the deposit is charged for the first night in respect of both rooms.
Cancellation policy: If you cancel your room booking is cancelled within 15 days of the arrival date or later, you will be charged in full for the whole of your booked stay. You will not be charged the tourist tax (4%) that is otherwise applicable

CHECKING IN AND OUT
Reception hours: A member of our team is on reception every day (8am - 11pm). Outside of these hours guests can contact us via an emergency phone number provided at check-in.
Check-in procedure: You can check-in from 3pm. Please note that our Reception is open until 11pm so if you plan to arrive after our closing time please let us know so we can send the late check-in information (by email).
Check-out process: Please ensure you check-out by 11am. This can be done in person at our reception. Let us know if you need to depart before 8am so we can inform you of the early check-out procedure.
Late check-outs: Subject to availability on the day, this can be requested for a surcharge of € 5 per hour.
BREAKFAST
Is breakfast included in the room price? No, the Brody House buffet costs € 10 per person.
What’s for breakfast? Our buffet breakfast includes a plethora of locally sourced products such as Hungarian cold cuts and cheeses, homemade jams and preserves, croissants, fruit loaf, homemade granola, fruit plus tea, coffee and juice. Gluten-free options are available upon request - a few days’ advance notice is always helpful.
When is breakfast served? Weekdays: 7.30am - 11.30am; weekends: 8am - 12pm.
FAMILY STAYS
Are you child/baby-friendly? We are! Cot and/or small pull-out sofa-beds can be provided in each of our rooms other than the The Artistic Nest.
Do you charge for extra beds/cots/linen? There is a charge of € 35 per additional person/bed/linen set.
Pets: As much as we love animals, pets cannot stay at Brody House. Sorry!
OTHER INFORMATION
Wining, dining and cocktails: All hotel guests are treated as temporary Brody House members; so, for the duration of your stay you are warmly welcome to make use of Brody House’s club space for breakfast, daytime working and a wide-range of Hungarian wine, local craft beer and top-notch cocktails. Do participate in the social and cultural programme - just ask the team for more info when you arrive.
Storing luggage: We can hold your bags in our ground floor storage - just don’t forget our closing times!
Lift: Brody House in a heritage and protected building - it has no lift or disabled access.
WiFi: It’s free! Get the password upon check-in.
Hairdryers: A hairdryer in provided in each room.
Housekeeping: All rooms are cleaned daily unless you specifically request not to be disturbed - let reception know or hang the relevant sign on the door handle. For ecological reasons, we won’t replace your linen/towels during your stay unless specifically requested or you are staying more than 4 days in a row.
Laundry services: Washing or ironing services are not provided but just ask the reception if you need an iron and ironing board.
LOCATION & TRANSPORT
Parking options: There are two convenient and secure parking lots (costing circa €8 per day) near Brody House:
8 Brody Sandor Street (50 m from the front door) OR Pollack Garage (100 meters away).
Public Transport: Brody House is situated in central Budapest with regular transport connections. There are 2 nearby metro stations within a few minutes’ walk:
Astoria station (Metro 2 / the red line), trams and buses to Buda OR Kálvin tér (Metro 3 / the red line and Metro 4 / the blue line), trams and a direct airport bus (100 E).
Traveling by taxi: Bolt works well (we recommend you download their app) and you can pay by cash or card.
DATA PROTECTION
All guests’ personal information provided as part of the booking process shall be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. On check-in, guests may be asked by reception IF they wish to receive updates by email. At no point will email addresses be provided to third parties for marketing purposes.
